French Marble Tips: Fall Nail Art

Play button
Marble French nails combine two of our favorites: a classic French mani, and oh-so-pretty marbled nail art! We were inspired by the hues of Autumn leaves, but you can choose any two or more colors for this nail design.
PRO TIP: Make sure you thoroughly prep nails to ensure adhesion & long-lasting wear! Push back cuticles, create a rough texture on the nail plate by filing, and sanitize thoroughly.

Step 1
  • Apply a thin coat of Step 1 Bond and allow it to dry completely.
Step 2
  • Apply a thin coat of Step 2 Base to the entire nail and immediately dip fingernail into Base & Finish powder.

PRO TIP: Avoid getting the product onto cuticles, powder will pick up wherever Base is applied.

Step 3
  • Carefully apply a coat of Step 2 starting from the natural smile line, working towards the cuticle line. Then immediately dip at an angle into Base & Finish powder. Repeat to achieve desired nail thickness.
Step 4
  • Using a file, gently buff the edges to create a smooth smile line.
Step 5
  • Pour a few scoops of color dip powder into a shallow container, here we are using CL69. Next, add one scoop of the second color into the container, here we are using CL68.
  • Using the small scoop or pointed tool, gently swirl both dip colors together.
Step 6
  • Apply a thin coat of Step 2 Base to the tip of the nail, then carefully lay the nail down into the dip powder mixture.
Step 7
  • Be sure to keep the powder mixture fresh between layers by adding more color and giving a little swirl.
  • Repeat to achieve desired coverage & thickness.

PRO TIP: Brushes may harden or pick up color powder during application. Simply switch them between Brush Softener for easy cleaning & workability.

Step 8
  • Apply a coat of Step 2 Base to the entire nail and immediately dip fingernail into Base & Finish powder.
Step 9
  • Apply a coat of Step 3 Activator to the entire nail and allow 3-5 minutes for the dip blend to harden.

PRO TIP: If you live in a humid climate, you may need to increase your dry time.

Step 10
  • File and buff nails to achieve desired nail shape & smoothness.
Step 11
  • Wash hands or use a lint-free wipe saturated in alcohol to wipe the nails clean from debris. Allow nails to dry completely.

PRO TIP: Make sure nails are completely dry before moving to the next step!

Step 12
  • Apply a coat of Step 4 Sealer to the entire nail and allow it to dry for 1-2 minutes.
Step 13
  • Apply a second coat of Step 3 Activator to the entire nail. Allow it to dry for 5 full minutes.

PRO TIP: If you live in a humid climate, you may need to increase your dry time.

Step 14
  • Use a lint-free wipe to remove excess activator from the nail surface.

PRO TIP: Make sure nails are completely dry before moving to the next step!

Step 15
  • Apply a coat of Step 4 Sealer in thin, quick strokes. Allow 2-3 minutes for nails to dry.
Step 16
  • Apply a final coat of Step 4 Sealer to the entire nail. Allow 3-5 minutes for nails to completely dry.

PRO TIP: Don't apply more than 2 consecutive coats of Sealer as this will prevent even drying & may result in a gummy mani.
